We supply a fully comprehensive range of services in sub-contract electronics manufacturing and our facility is highly organised and equipped with world class process capability to support a wide range of customers and products.
Our service is agile and responsive to support customers with PCB designs and rapid prototype & NPI orders before moving into batch or series production. Our typical manufacturing batch sizes can range from 2 to 2500 units per run and we support customers who build annual volumes of circa 15K per year.
Gemini Tec were the first UK CEM to adopt solder jet printing across its entire SMT operation. Solder jet printing is the fastest way to a perfect solder joints without the need for stencils. Any fine adjustments can be actioned on the fly and at no extra cost. Our solder jet printing systems ensures the optimum solder joints are achieved delivering a level of control and consistency that's simply not achievable with traditional stencils and the jet printers we use have Z-height paste control, meaning solder paste deposits can be printed to both PCB’s and ASICC logic dies during the same manufacturing cycle.
We also use Vapor Phase Reflow which is a superior method of reflowing the circuits as it removes the need to engineer custom thermal profiles for complex SMT boards. A clean technology that ensures PCBAs can never be over heated and are reflowed to exacting standards. We operate two vapor phase reflow ovens, including the use of vacuum processing for void free solder joints.
Our experienced IPC technicians can support a broad range of products and components, from Sub 0.3 mm BGA, PoP, leadless, 01005, 0201, 0402, QFN, DFN and technically challenging leadless devices.
To ensure product validation we use a range of comprehensive tools as standard, such as Mirtec five axis camera AOI systems, fibre optic Ersascope cameras and 3D X-Ray.
